Web Technology Provides Business Easy Visability
A Web Presence is Created for Mid Valley Chamber of Commerce
TORRANCE/Calif. January 29, 2004– ReaLife WebDesigns showcased its e-commerce capabilities on January 29, during the website launch party for the Mid Valley Chamber of Commerce hosted at Telesis Credit Union.
Nancy Hoffman Vanyek, Mid Valley Chamber of Commerce (MVCC) CEO, along with Mary Vassilakis of ReaLife WebDesigns presented the many e-commerce features available at www.midvalleychamber.com. One of the new site capabilities that the chamber is most excited about is online registration for the chamber's events, which will save valuable time for both members and the chamber staff. The new design offers business people the ability to register for and pay for sponsorships, events, exhibits and advertising any time of day or night. With the new web site, MVCC is open for business 24 hours a day, 363 days a year.
ReaLife WebDesigns created a unique feature, "ChamberStore.com", which makes important business publications available for purchase. One of the items available in the ChamberStore.com shopping cart is federally required poster sets for business locations. The new MVCC website make it easy for chamber members to network by allowing business directory searches using a representative's name or a business name.
Because ReaLife WebDesigns designs and builds many e-commerce web sites, it was second-nature for them to build the MVCC website. Vassilakis was on hand to answer questions from 100 users surfing the new site.
"Chamber members were excited to test drive the new site and to see their businesses advertised with rotating banner ads." said the owner of ReaLife WebDesigns.
The two-hour celebration, which was held in the glass atrium lobby of member company Telesis Credit Union, provided an opportunity for business members to learn the importance of integrating a new corporate brand with a matching online presence. In an effort to increase both brand and new website awareness, a sheet cake airbrushed with the new website's home page image was served to guests.
